Build AutoComplete List (Outlook.nk2) from Contact List.
I have a new computer with a newly created contact list. Is there a way to
add the contact list to AutoComplete file without actually sending an email to each person in this newly created list? |

yep. Turn off send and recieve or just pull the network cable out of your
PC. Address an email to every Contact in the To, CC or BCC field. Send it. It will get stuck in your Outbox. Go there and Delete it. Plug back in. Open your Contacts folder, select all the entries with CTRL-A, then click ActionsNew Message to Contact. A new message window will open with all of your contacts in the To field. Press CTRL-K to cause them all to be resolved, indicated by an underline under each contact. The process of resolving an address adds it to the autocompletion cache. Click the X in the upper right of the new message window to close it, and answer No when asked if you want to save the changes. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

This does not work. "Actions" does not give option of "New Message to
Contact." Control A works to select all. "Brian Tillman" wrote: genojoe wrote: I have a new computer with a newly created contact list.
