how do i create a column that will show the date of my last contact with a
customer whether it's by phone, email or in person? |

If you view the COntacts folder in Phone List view (or any other Tbale view)
you can use the Field Chooser to make a New field. The Field chooser can be found on the Advanced Toolbar. It has a New button on it. Make a Date field, then drag it onto the table (eg beside the Company field header).
