Its seems there is somthing going on with my .NK2 file. When I email a
contact initial he doesn;t appear then I go to my contact list add him to the To: field and compose and e-mail my message. The next day I start tyoping his name and his name doesn;t appear. can anyone shed some light on this? |

The NK2 file remembers addresses to which you've sent mail regardless of whether or not they're in your Contacts folder. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

Brian thanks for your reply. This is exactly what im talking about: Even if I
send mail to a person e-mail the next time i try and e-mail him and type his name into the To box: its doesn't show up. For example i try it this morning e-mailing a contact sent the message and 30 minutes later I went to send him another e-mail (i did not respond to his) and his name didn't auto complete in the to box: Any ideas? The usual fix is a new mail profile. After creating the new profile, rename the NK2 file to match the name of the new profile and it should work again. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

Is there any other way? None that I've seen. Why are you averse to a new mail profile? -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
