I maintain distibution lists for sending email to everyone in the company.
When I try to share it with other users as I would a contact via email, the person recieving it recieves it as an attachment, opens it and sees the distribution list just as I do. But, when the click save and close, it does not show up in the contact list. We are not using Exchange. We are using office 07 and some 03 |

You're not sending correctly. Send the DL as an Outlook Item in an RTF
message. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Q1DHM" wrote in message ... I maintain distibution lists for sending email to everyone in the company. OK, sorry, I'm missing something here. Can you give me a bit more detail?
Thanks. "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: You're not sending correctly. Send the DL as an Outlook Item in an RTF message. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Q1DHM" wrote in message ... There isn't any more detail.
1. Create a new message in RTF format. 2. Insert the DL as an Outlook Item in the message (Instructions: Insert Item...) 3. Send the message to your recipient. 4. Recipient will be able to open and save the DL to the default Contacts Folder. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Q1DHM" wrote in message ... OK, sorry, I'm missing something here. Hi, I have a related issue.
I've created a Distribution List. I emailed it as an attachment. The recipient opened & saved it to their oulook contacts. Whe we go into their contacts and open the list, its fine...when we click on the individual name to see their contact card/more information, its not there. We get an error message that its been removed?? What are we doing wrong and what would be the best way to share a DL? Thanks! Liz "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: There isn't any more detail. 1. You didn't send any of the underlying Contact Records. Why would you expect
them to be there? All you sent was a DL. You got what you sent. When you sent the DL, you broke the links to any related Contact Records. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Elizabeth" wrote in message ... Hi, I have a related issue.
