In my contact folder, I have e-mail addresses for my contacts. When I open
my mail folder to send a new message and click on the address book icon , my
contact list opens, but many of the contacts are missing their e-mail
address. I ran a test by sending an e-mail to a contact who did not have her
address showing and it never left my outbox. The e-mail address was not
there. Any solutions to getting my complete contacts to open?

Any valid, resolved electronic address that exists in a Contacts Folder that
you have enabled for display in the address book view will appear there.
Only you can figure out which of these conditions you have not met.
Instructions for configuring the address book view are posted here every
day:

Still no luck and a new problem. I have Outlook 2007 with Vista Home Premium.
Under Tools, Account Settings, Address Book, my addrss book is listed. Under
file, folder, properties, "Show this folder an an e-mail address book" is
checked. However, the command is not active, nor is the apply button.
Still, when I click on "to" when sending an e-mail, the recipient's is there
but in some cases, the e-mail address is not, even though the e-mail address
of the recipient is in my contact folder.
The new problem, is now when I click on "to", my address book does not open,
but I get a search screen instead.
One last item, I asked to be notified of replies to this post. I was.
However, clicking on the link just gave me a blank page. I had to go back to
the community to find my post to respond to you.

Thanks

It is not unusual for the Outlook Address Book to “lose track” of the
connection to its Contacts Folder when you move or import your PST or update
your Outlook version or operating system. Use the following steps to reset
the connection. Note that in some instances you may actually have to remove
the Outlook Address Book completely from your Profile, close Outlook, and
then re-add it before you can get it to work.

For Outlook 2007, you add and repair the address book service using a
different steps:
Tools Account Settings Address Book Tab. Is the Outlook Address Book
present? If it isn't listed, add it and close and restart Outlook. If it is
listed, then you can no longer repair this service by removing and re-adding
it. Instead you must create an entire new Outlook profile from scratch and
add the Outlook address book service to it.

We'd need to know the steps you used to corrupt your address book service to
provide more specific help.
