Environment: Outlook 2003 SP3 with Exchange 2003 SP2
Scenario: User A gives delegate rights to User B for Contacts. User B Uses delegate rights to viw, modify contacts etc. User B also would like to see AND/OR modify Activities of User A contacts. Question: 1. Can User B see User A's Activities for User A Contacts. (any specific rights to be given) 2. Can User B modify User A's Contact Activity? (any specific rights?) 3. If User A has Contacts and also 'subfolders' under Contacts, can User B (delegate) see all Contacts and ones in the subfolder?. -- Amin M. |

1. What happens when you try it? I don't think so, but I haven't tried it.
User B might need to set up his activities to use User A's folders and have the contact in his folder. 2. Huh? Contact Activity is based on messages or other items associated with the contact. The most User B could do is delete items (needs delete permission) or assign contacts to other outlook items (needs change permissions) 3. User B can only see what he has permission to see. If he needs to see the subfolders, User A has to give him permission to those folders. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. Hello,
I am writing to complete the message because I am also interested in the resolution (if there is one) for the 1st point. The message we get is: "Operation failed. An object could not be found." However the delegates has the maximal access to all objects (contact, mail,...) Thanky in advance if you can help us go a little forward Have a nice day Lerritier "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: 1.
