Sending a mail letter to a contact in Outlook 2007

I am using Outlook 2007. I can no longer find a way when I'm in the contact
screen to prepare a "real" letter to the contact. In 2003 I could begin in
the contact and type a letter (to be mailed). Can someone give me some
advice?
