Distribution List by Category
 

I have followed the instructions to Email a distribution by category. When I
go to "Action" "Create" and then "New message to contact", when I end up
at email site, there are no name in the "To..." box. Is there something I
have not got clicked on to make this work? Thanks for your help.

Try this method:

Select the Contacts you want to email (Group By Category or however you want
to do it).
Use your mouse to grab and drag the selected Contacts to the Inbox.
Release.
You now have a new email with their names in the To... field.
You can select all names in the To... field and drag to the CC or BCC field
if you want to.
