vCard on Web site - for download
I'm using Outlook 2003, FrontPage 2002.
I saved my vCard as part of my Website's root directory. Added link to it on a page. When I preview the page in the browser in FP and click the link, it works. But when I publish the page, it doesn't. I'm coming up with Page Not Found. I've checked server, and vcf is there. Any ideas on what might be happening? -- Peggy Duncan, Author Conquer Email Overload with Outlook http://www.PeggyDuncan.com |

While viewing the published page in your web browser, right-click the page and choose View Source. Then find the link in the HTML source and see what the page is actually using. I think you'll find this is a FrontPage problem, not an Outlook issue.

Thanks. I looked at the source and it's reading the same. I'll go over to the
FP forum to see what I can find out. Thanks again. -- Peggy Duncan, Author Conquer Email Overload with Outlook http://www.PeggyDuncan.com "Sue Mosher [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: While viewing the published page in your web browser, right-click the page and choose View Source. Here is what I found out in the FrontPage forum.
You are using a Windows 2003 server. On Windows 2003, the IIS server will deliver a "404 - Page not found" for any file with an extension not in its list of valid mime-types. Ask your host to add a mime type for .vcf -- Peggy Duncan, Author Conquer Email Overload with Outlook http://www.PeggyDuncan.com "Worksmart" wrote: Thanks.
