Default Can not reach Contacts or Tasks

Even if I know this is a daily question I need some helpthis time.
I run Outlook 2003 and can not change view to Contacts or Tasks. I can open
both in new windows and I can reach all addresses via the To button in a new
email. (I can then open the address card connected to the email)

I have read article 287563: the address book shows up under Tools/emial
accounts/Show or change... but I can do the next step "File/Folder/Show
properties for Contacts" as I can not change view to Contacts or Tasks.
If I open Contacs in a new window I can perform this second step and ai can
see that "Show this folder as an email address book" is marked and called
Contacs

(I believe art. 319901 is not for me, I do not get an error message)

Any idea, I am really tired looking in my phone for Tasks and addresses?

Default Can not reach Contacts or Tasks

What exactly happens when you try to display your Contacts or Tasks folder?

Default Can not reach Contacts or Tasks

If I for example have the Calender view and press the Contact button in the
lower part of the left column the following happens:
- The calender itself (center & right part of the screnn)remains
- In the left column:
--the "headline" changes from calender to contacts
--below the headline, the upper one of the two calender overviews
remains
--below this a heading My Contacts show
--below the heading Current View (for the calender) shows with the
different radio buttons like Day/Week/Month

It seems like Outlook manages to chenge to half he Caontact view and then
stops.
Pressing the Task button generates the same kind of view.

Try clicking the Folder List button at the bottom of the navigation pane so
that you see all folders. Then, select your Contacts or Tasks folder. What
happens then?

You should run Help | Detect and Repair if you haven't already.

Good. That means you now have a way to get to those folders.

To correct the problem with the navigation pane, try starting Outlook with
the /resetnavpane switch. See
http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/commandlines.htm if you don't know how to
do that.
