Outlook 2003 Contacts - How to auto find
Is there a way to auto find contacts in Outlook 2003? In other words,
presently when I am trying to find a contact, I either have to scroll thru the entire list of contacts or click on "Find a contact", input the name and press enter. Is there a way to auto find contacts, so when I go to contacts and type in a S it goes to S, Sm it goes to all Sm, Smi, Smit, Smith, etc. You can do this already when you are in email, click on new, click on To:, get the select name box and start typing in the "Type Name or Select from List" field. If it's not already built in, is there an addon for this? Thanks! |

It's a window in the Standard Toolbar - It says Type a Contact To Find.
As an example, type Kar Gree and hit the Enter key and you'll get Karen Green ( if you have a Contact called Karen Green) Regards Judy Gleeson MVP Outlook www.judygleeson.com www.deskdoctors.com Are you sick of bad email practice? Outlook 2003 Contacts - How to auto find
Hi Judy,
Thanks for trying, however, I'm looking for a way to auto find contacts - in other words, so I don't have to hit the Enter key. For instance, when I go to Google it does the same thing when I'm typing in a query. It's trying to guess what I'm looking for. Does Outlook Contacts have a way to auto guess who you are trying to find? Thanks again... It's a window in the Standard Toolbar - It says Type a Contact To Find.
