email addresses appearing on business card view but not address b.

I have a lot of email addresses on my contacts. However, only a few of them
are showing up when I click on the little book icon and the address book
appears. Also, when I type a name in the "to" section of a new email with a
name I KNOW I have an email address for, the email address does not populate.
I can not figure out why.

Thanks.

Email addresses will appear in your address book view as long as they are
valid and resolved and exist in a Contacts Folder that you have enabled as
an electronic address book. Accordingly, one or more of those conditions is
not true. Only you can figure out which. You've posted too little
information for anyone else to figure out what you did wrong.

email addresses appearing on business card view but not addres

I just did a test. I have a contact that has a valid email address. her
name is Jana. I went right from the business card view to create a new
email. I typed Jana and it did not suggest anything by way of populating the
field. I have dozens of these email addresses that are not appearing.

You said "Valid and resolved". I guess I do not understand what you mean.
The addresses are correct.

I just pulled up a contact and then clicked on the address book icon so it
popped up to. The email address on the contact is NOT on the same name in
the address book. in fact very few of the names in my address book have a
corresponding email address when virtually ALL my contacts have email
addresses associated with them. Truly stumped.

Then check for every condition I told you to. One is not true.

The addresses are correct.

First, right-click your Contacts folder and choose Properties. Select the
Outlook Address Book tab and see if the box labeled "Show this folder as an
e-mail Address Book" is checked. Then, open your Contacts folder and open
(double-click) one of the contacts there. Look in the "E-mail" field. Is
the email address correct and underlined? Try clicking in the E-mail text
field then delete and retype the last letter of the address. Click Save and
Close. Does the contact and its address now show in the Address Book view?
