I have contacts in the contact folder with multiple email addresses (ie,
email and email2) and each email address has a different display name (eg, home, work). The "To" display when selected in a new message shows two emails entries for the contact (home and work) but both entries have the same email address (the one listed for "email"). Is there a way for the email2 address to be displayed correctly? Thanks for any help. |

If you enter the data correctly it will display correctly. Outlook only
displays what you have placed in those fields. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "onehas" wrote in message ... Thanks for the quick reply but I don't believe the data is incorrect unless
I'm overlooking something (which is very possible). If you click on the contact in the contact folder it brings up the data entry window. The emails (email, email 2,..) are entered separately from pull down menus and the two emails show address and display name correctly. Also any view in the contacts window also shows correctly. It's only when you look at the entries from the address book that you see incorrect labeling. Its is possible that I am missing a setting somewhere? This problem occurs for all contacts with multiple email entries. "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: If you enter the data correctly it will display correctly. I can't reproduce it nor have I seen it reported. So there is more to your
story. The address book view will show three things for every electronic address in your Contacts Folder: Name, the Email Display As Field, and the actual email address. If yours does not, then you'll need to figure out what is wrong with your address book view. Many people are displaying a different Contacts Folder in their address book view than the one they are actually using in Outlook. Others may have corrupted their addresses by importing Contacts or using Contacts created in an earlier version. There is no way to guess what makes your installation different from everyone else's without more information. If you are absolutely certain that you are viewing the same Contacts in your address book that you are in Outlook, try resetting your address book view by removing it from the profile, restarting Outlook, and adding it back in. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "onehas" wrote in message news ![]() Thanks for the quick reply but I don't believe the data is incorrect unless I'm overlooking something (which is very possible). It looks like removing and adding did the trick. Thanks again
