I am trying to import contact records from Excel into Outlook. I have over a
1000 records but only 957 are being imported. Do you know why? |

I'd take a look at one of the contacts that's not being imported and see if
there's a common thread like bad field content or similar "Marc" Marc @discussions.microsoft.com wrote in message ... I am trying to import contact records from Excel into Outlook. I have over a 1000 records but only 957 are being imported. Do you know why? |

The lowest limit would be 16383 or 65535 so you're not near it.

If the missing records are at the end of the Excel worksheet - then the most
likely cause of the problem is that the "Named Range" in use in the Excel worksheet doesn't encompass all rows and needs to be changed (if you're not familiar with Excel Named ranges - you can save the worksheet as a CSV file and import that file instead). Don't recall an instance where the Outlook import wizard will not import an item without issuing an error message and keep on going. Using a worksheet you previously exported and not extending the named range
to cover all records is the usual cause.
