Default Convert distribution list to individual contacts

My husband made a distribution list but didn't choose "add to contacts list"
for each entry. Now he wants to convert the list to individual contacts. I
can't seem to figure out how to do that.

Ther's no quick way to do that.

The way I'd do it would be to save the DL as a "Text Only" file, which would
create a tab-separated values file, open that file in Excel, remove the lines
above the name/address pairs, split the first column into separate columns for
first and last name, add a row with the column headers "FirstName",
"LastName", and "EmailAddress" above the appropriate columns, save it as a
comma-separated values file (csv), then import that into Outlook with
FIleImport and ExportImport from another program or file.

I thought I followed the instructions to the letter, but the email addresses
did not populate. Not a problem, however, and thanks for the advice. It was
very useful.
