Stop Display-As pile-on
I'm working with Outlook 2002 and 2003 (different computers). Whenever I set
up a new contact, after typing in the email address, Display As automatically shows the contact's name, plus piles on the email address after it. Can't we just stop making the email address be automatically part of the Display name? This of course affects the way contacts show up when you start a new message and click the To: button. You select a contact, put it in the Message Recipient's To: box --and the name appears with it's email address schlobbered all over the end of the name. How can I alter this automatic menace? CC |

You can't. Outlook is using the format requested by most users.
