How do you set a defult icon on a customized form?

Problem is with the New/Read status icon attached to the form. It does not
change.

How do you set a defult icon on a customized form?

This is a limitation of customized forms, items created with customized
message forms, the icon does not change to an open envelope after the user
opens the message or marks it as read. However, unread messages will still
show as bold in a folder view, regardless of what form they use. All you can
do is educate the users that this is how it is.
