Identifying folder type
Hi,
I have an outlook addin which archives mails into repository. But i want to show our application specific settings based on the folder type. i.e. Outlook shows exchange mailbox, other user mailbox (delegate), PST files, Archive folders, Public folders etc. I want to show my application settings in a context menu. But i want to show it for only Exchange mailbox or Other User Mailbox(delegate) folders. So How do I determine the folder type? Thanks in Advance |

Outlook version? What language? Are you using a MAPI helper such as
Redemption? -- Ken Slovak [MVP - Outlook] http://www.slovaktech.com Author: Professional Programming Outlook 2007. Use the DefaultItemType property of the MAPIFolder object. Look in the
Outlook VBA project's Object Browser Help for information on what each folder's DefaultItemType would be. You'll get back a member of the olItemType enum. -- Ken Slovak [MVP - Outlook] http://www.slovaktech.com Author: Professional Programming Outlook 2007.
