Do you have an Adobe addin? Disable it if so. It's a known issue and won't
work until or if Adobe fixes whatever they're doing. -- Ken Slovak [MVP - Outlook] http://www.slovaktech.com Author: Absolute Beginner's Guide to Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 Reminder Manager, Extended Reminders, Attachment Options http://www.slovaktech.com/products.htm "George Lake" wrote in message ... Hi George,
To help determine the 'same error' can you tell us what th exact error message you're getting is, including the message putting a 3rd party app 'at fault' along with the steps you're following in Outlook 2007 when this occurs? Are you opening the mail in split screen or double clicking it to its own window or?? Do all the messages where this occur have something in common (i.e. html vs plain text format, or an attachment type, or...? ============= "George Lake" wrote in message ... Hi folks.
When I hit reply all for an email, outlook 2007 shuts down with an error. Once it reboots, reply all will work but only once before it shuts down again. very very buggy. The error information: AppName: Outlook.exe ModName: Kernel32.dll App ver: 12.0.4017.1006 ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 App Stamp: 445b7cf7 Mod Stamp: 411096b4 fDebug: 0 Offset: 0001eb33 This error pretty much makes 2007 beta 2 unusable. I find it hard to believe that a beta 2 would have such basic errors as this. Other than that, looks very cool but needs to work. Any ideas folks? Damon |

I have the same issue except mine is slightly more annoying. I can write
one email (either reply or new) and send but as soon as I try to hit "New" or "Reply" for a second email, the app crashes 100% of the time. I've even disabled all non-Office 2007 add-ins but that hasn't solved the issue. Hopefully someone on the board can help both of us. Thanks in advance! wrote in message oups.com... Hi folks. Go into Control Panel, Add/Remove Software. Click on Adobe Acrobat Pro
6/7 (not the reader) and hit modify. Uninstall the Outlook & Office add-ins and your problem should be solved. Hi Patrick,
Thanks for the tip. As soon as I find my installation disk, I will try this. Unless you know of a way to remove these add-ins via the registry. Thanks and I'll let everyone in this group know as soon as I test it out. Damon Patrick Schmid wrote: Go into Control Panel, Add/Remove Software. Hi Damon,
You can try Tools, Trust Center, Add-Ins. See if the Adobe add-in is listed there and what type it is. Then select that type in the combobox on the bottom of that window and hit go. In the window that opens then, you should be able to deactivate it. This MIGHT help. I don't remember at this point anymore whether deactivating was sufficient (something in the back of my head tells me that it wasn't). Uninstalling definitely works though and you should be able to do this without your installation disk. Patrick,
Thanks for the 411. I didn't find it in the trust center but I did go to control panel - add/remove, change, unchecked the outlook plug-ins. I was asked for the CD for the Acrbat.MSI file and I hit cancel. It seemed to remove the add-in, as I haven't had a problem with outlook shutting down since. WHich makes me a very happy camper. I also came across this article. http://groups.google.com/group/micro...3a467c47b009d3 |
