Birthday Field - How can one set it without generating a calendar
 

Everytime I programatically set the birthday field of a new contact, it
generates a calendar event for the birthday. Is there a flag that can be set
on the contact to prevent this from happening????

No. If you don't want that calendar item you must locate it after it's
created and delete it.
