Copy attached MSG to Inbox in IMAP folder
I am currently using Outlook 2007 as my email program. One of the accounts
is a work account that I setup as an IMAP. There is a separate work account that I have forwarded to the first account. When a message is forwarded it shows as a message from me (Postmaster on behalf of Me) with the original message as a attachment. Is there a way to programmatically have any messages of this type have the attachment copied to the IMAP's inbox and the original message marked for deletion? Thank you. |

You can use the ItemAdd event of the folder. In that event check the Item's SenderEmailAddress, or whatever identifies the message you're looking or, then save the attachment as a file, with that file call the CreateItemFromTemplate function, and add the returned object to the folder's Items collection. Eventually you can call the Delete method of the received message. -- Best regards Michael Bauer - MVP Outlook : Outlook Categories?
