I had similar problem. In the end it was just the profile I was using. So
what I did was create a new mail profile. Then I just highlighted all of the
old email in each of my folders and copied...

What you are actually downloading is the program that allows you to
quicksearch your email. I didnt want to download it either but I did thinking

You could of just clicked file, Data files management and outlook would open
the folder that holds all your PST. Files and outlook files. Remember this
next time you lose a folder.
