don't want certain appointments to print

Is there a way I can avoid having certain recurring appointments print (or
appointments before or after a certain time) when printing a monthly
calendar? I can't find an option anywhere in the...

thank you! in the past when it's asked me if i want to autoarchive, i've
said no, and i guess as an option it just deleted the older ones and they are
lost forever! but hopefully i can save them...

it appears that old appointments (other than recurring entries) drop off
after about 7 mos. is there any way to keep old appointments on the calendar
indefinitely? once in a while i need to look...
