Tried it. No change, still stalls at 106209, then I must ctrl alt del...

can't update group list!!

I'm trying to update my group lists for OE 6 newsreader.
I get to 106,000 groups and then it stays there and won't
go any further. I must ctrl, alt, del to get out. Any help
appreciated.
