You could specify outlook to download only headers and this will take less
time. Toolssend/receivesend/receive settings click on edit and select the
imap account and set it to download only...

Click on toolsoptionsemail-options and uncheck remove extra lines in plain
text messages. Guess that should take care of it.

Click on toolsRules&Alerts.
Go through the rules that u have set there and delete the one that u dont
want to use or uncheck it. If u uncheck it then the rule is still there but
is disabled....
