It does seem kind of strange someone would program it to do this on purpose,
since being able to just hit a letter is a lot quicker way to get where you
want to be.

I'd send Microsoft a suggestion...

Russ, thank you for the fast response, and correct as well. I did not even
connect the two things together, which I probably should have since it was
only recently that I started using the Outlook...

In Outlook 2003, after opening the Contacts folder, I used to be able to just
type a letter such as "T" and it would take me to the first occurance of any
contacts starting with that letter. Now,...
