New life! The SCANPST fixed the file problem and mail is now moving
properly.

A clue! Can't read the "Sent Items" folder. Outlook says run SCANPST (which
I hjave used for other problems). So assuming corruption in the "Sent Items"
file at the present time.

though they had been sent. That is, those messages did not get deleted from

Correct.
The only oddity is with the address book. Those blank records at the top of
the list (when listed alphabetically) and the error dialog saying 'invalid
ENTRYID'.

Shrinking my .PST file
My PST file grew to 1.4GB. I autoarchived and it has only shrunk to 1.2GB.
How can I substantially reduce the size still further?
