Sorry, the header on my selection said "inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress"
so I thought it the combo of the two.

I have Earthlink so I get 8 [free] mailboxes. One is assigned to
the wife on her computer. That leaves me 7.

I have ALWAYS disabled the VC when it comes to mail as
it just slows everything down...

Recently I acquired a new computer populated with XP Home.
Basically, a state of the of the art one with dual processors,
mucho memory, etc. It has all the upgrades, etc. that MS sent
