Gentlemen: I have some great (but puzzling) news to report. Yesterday, to try
to run another log on trying to connect, the connection was made and

Here is an update on what I have done... I turned off all the McAfee
Viruscan, created a new identity using new data. My attempt to set up
newsgroups -the email seemed to be fine - timed out 3...

it responded correctly. I am not using a router & use 2003 Office Pro if that
