How do I stop repeat reminder when appointment no longer exists

I had an appointment in the calendar 8 months ago. This was deledte.
However. I continue to get a reminder every time I open Office 2007.
How do I remove this repeat reminder from a long ago...

You could use a 3rd party app like autohotkey (http://www.autohotkey.com)
which is free.

Thanks Diane - I suspected much. The only way to have exchange be the
default message store is to access your email from exchange directly (where
