Outlook 2007 to Exchange setup error

I'm new to Outlook 2007. Maybe I've made a bad assumption re Exchange.
Bottom line, I used a "transfer cable" to move my account from an XP laptop
to my new Vista laptop. All seemed to work...

How do I change Outlook 2007 contact setting from Exchange to local PST file?

Initial setup should have been to a local PST file, not Exchange. I am not
able to add my contact folders as Address...
