how do I dial a telephone number from Outlook?

I am using Outlook 2007 and used to be able to dial utilising a TAPI
interface directly from Contacts through to our PBX. However now it is not
recognising the +44 207X XXXX numbers in my Contacts...

This seems to have changed recently, perhaps a Microsoft update ?

Urls in email messages are now displayed in IE when clicked, rather than in
Firefox - which remains my default browser for .htm and...
