If you try the repro scenario I listed, it will not even allow you to create
the meeting with the reminder box checked. And even so what happens if I
wanted to be reminder about the second...

Create new calendar item
Check “all day event”
Click Recurrence
Select “Daily”
Select an End By date at least 1 day after start date
Set a reminder
Try to save the item
See error message
