Why did all password fields go blank

Well, this was not the only thing that happened. I am not sure why all
passwoed fields went blank. But I had a number of other problems.

I could not send mail (receive mail, browse web was OK). BT...

I am running OL2003 on Vista and everything has been running OK and this
evening I find that all the password fields in E-mail accounts are blank. I
have Window defender running and Virus checker...
