just ordinary connection after installing the certificate. It should be ok,
as right now I am connected to the exchange server- which means Outlook is
open !

And so is pst ...

Why doesn't Outlook open in offline mode?

I thought this is slightly different- the other one is about trying to
access hotmail account though Outlook. Outlook starts but goes into offline
mode.
Now that I have deleted the hotmail account...

I can do it only when Outlook will open! Outlook refuses to open in offline
mode and so I cant do FileOpen.

I did the other thing too (adding to the profile) but even that doesn’t
work, because...

Hi,

I have a query- if Outlook is not able to establish connection with the
Exchange server, then why does it not open in offline mode.

I should be able to see the local pst and downloaded mails...

Its working now( I meant that I am able to connect to the exchange server
and able to see the inbox). The usual problem exists with this account also-
Outlook goes into offline mode and says there...

But I configured it at home only. It was able to verify the name from home.
