change current month to prior month in header on monthly printout

When you printout the calendar in monthly mode, the header on top has the
current month and future month.
I would suggest that the header contains the prior month and future month.

Background colors for calendars.

The colors seem to be restricted to twelve presets (one is uglier than the
other)
Is there a way to use colors of my choosing for calendar background?
