calendar items disappering

From the calendar on your blackberry go to "Options" and scroll down to
"Keep Appoinments". Click the trackwheel to set it to "forever". If appts
were made prior to what the setting is they will be...

We use blackberry - wireless synchronization. I checked and appts on the
blackberry are to be kept forever.

I am not sure where to start. Appointments are missing in Outlook that were
there previously. They were created within a week time span and were not
deleted.

Appointments that were there last week are now missing. They were not
deleted by the creator. One was a recurring appointment. Where do I start?

The user was logged in remotely through VPN. The VPN crashed in the midst of
the e-mail being sent. The recipient received only the first paragraph. I

Asking to "open" or "save" when accessing Word attachments
