can you replace your data file

when I open my outlook, my email works, my calender is there and is all
correct but my contact area says it cannot display the folder what do you
suggest the contacts were there?

can you take your .pst files from one computer if it is running vista and
reload office on another computer and take that .pst file to import your
data?

after looking over some of the other topics and going through some of the
other steps listed the one I am wondering about is should I go to account
settings and remove the MAPI file and close...
