Oh well! I spoke too soon! All the emails are back in Outlook again so I'm
afraid it's back to the drawing board. It's probably something to do with
this 'profiles' thing but I really don't...

Hi Brian, Many thanks for the link to that website and I've now sorted the
problem out. My ZoneAlarm firewall was the cause of it so I set it to trust
Outlook and hey presto! - no more duplicated...

Hi all, Please could somebody help me with this. I have always used Outlook
Express but have now just switched over to Outlook 2003. After I did the
initial setup, Outlook imported all of my emails...
