Sorry for the delay, that solution didn't work but I bit the bullet and
opened the properties of each (only had 22) and cut and pasted the email
addr. back in and all appears well. I can make...

AS I tried to say, I used the export feature within OUtlook to export
contacts into a pst file from an older version of Outlook onto a floppy and
used the Import feature to transfer the contacts...

Also my outlook contacts was already listed as an addressbook

No I can't create a D-List from current addressess.
Yes, the addresses are underlined when I open one of the contacts.
Outlook doesn't seem to recognize them. If I cut and paste into another
email...
