I just set up a new laptop transfering my MS Office 2003 settings from the
old LT to the new using Office2003 wizard. Everything seemed to work, but I am getting the following error: 'C:\Documents and Settings\RMJ\Application Data\Microsoft\AddIns\C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Geography\mpoai9.dll' is not a valid Office Add-in. I do have MapPoint 2001 installed, but there is no directory or file w/ path C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Geography\mpoai9.dll and nothing in C:\Documents and Settings\RMJ\Application Data\Microsoft\AddIns. I did find reg data items like the above of most of the office registry key entires like: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outloo k\Addins\MapPoint.OfficeAddin.9. Should I just delete all of these? |

The only thing you have to remove is the registry entry you mentioned. That
will stop the error message from showing up. "John" wrote in message ... I just set up a new laptop transfering my MS Office 2003 settings from the old LT to the new using Office2003 wizard. We also had this problem with an off the shelf application that uses Word,
Excel, and MapPoint. In addition to deleting all the keys containing mpoai9.dll from the registery, I also had to delete some user profiles to get rid of this annoying error.
