Default Button location in button bar

Ok, I know someone will probably scream at me for posting a question
that's already been asked, but I've just spent an hour searching and
flipping through topics trying to find an answer that I KNOW I've read
out here before and haven't had any luck...so please be gentle.

I have two different add-ins. They both put buttons on the command
button bar. The problem is that sometimes when the explorer is opened,
the buttons will be out of order. I've tried setting the before
parameter on creating the buttons, but that hasn't helped.

Like I said, I know I've seen posts similar to this before, so
hopefully there is an answer. Any help is appreciated, even if it's a
link to another topic.

Thanks!

Leah Ann

Addin loading is non-deterministic. You can't determine which addin will
load first. Unless you reference the .Before property to a built-in control
you don't really know what else is going to put a button where you want your
button to be.
