Error message: "The installation source for this product is not available.
Verify that the source exists and that you can access it." Outlook is installed from a server directory on all our workstations. pfbackup installs just fine on Windows 2000 machines, but we get this message on any Windows XP machine that we try to install the backup utility on. The pfbackup.exe sits in the same directory as the Office XP setup directory on our network server. Any ideas why we would have this issue on XP machines but not W2K machines and what I can do to resolve the issue? Thank you for your assistance |

Blake,
Those other posts that you reference are not mine . . very odd though. If you are referring to my posted issue, I have somewhat found a solution. I am still having this issue on the WXP machine that I wrote about. However, I have determined that I can install this on Windows XP but the user must have local admin rights and the firewall must be disbled during installation. " wrote: Sheila - odd request.
