Default Is it possibel to run another application using Outlook Com Addin?

Hi Guys,

I was just wondering if i could call/start for another application from
a remote location from the Outlook Com Addin project? I was thinking if
i could call my email signature generation program from this com addin.
Pardon me for asking this cos i'm pretty new in this..
