I'm currently developing an Add-In for Outlook 2003, and have recently
discovered a strange behaviour when using SP2. For each of my IMAP-folders I have defined a custom view. To support custom columns in this view, I've added fields in the TNEF of every mailitem (from server). The problem occurs the first time I start outlook with this addin installed (only on versions using SP2). When downloading mailitems in the first selected folder, the TNEF fields in every item disappear. They all go blank, except for the standard outlook fields (subject, from, to etc). If new mailitems are received in this folder, they have their fields intact, so does every other mailitems in all the other folders. Only the first selected folder have this problem. The mailitems are saved in the PST file without these fields, so the next time we open Outlook, these mailitems are still missing their data. All other mailitems have their data. If I remove the PST file, the same thing happens again. The first folder I select will have their fields removed, the rest is fine. This is getting frustrating. I've tried debugging, but there is no way I can see what Outlook is doing when it's downloading the mailitems. From server point of view, all seems fine. It sends the field as it should, no matter what folder I select and in which order. Any help or tips on how I can work around this would be appreciated. |
