I've been using the Outlook Connector for some time, to integrate Live
mail/contacts/messenger with Outlook, without any problems. But a few days back, i saw that (nearly?) all my contacts in the "Hotmail" account in my Outlook had duplicated. Pedantic as i sometimes can be, i proceeded to manually delete all the duplicate contacts, despite warnings from the Connector that removing contacts will remove them from Messenger too. No problem. I was just deleting duplicates. Well that's what i thought, because today when i looked at my Messenger, *all* of the contacts whose duplicates i (thought i) had deleted were *gone*. Is there a way to restore my now-deleted contacts? Responses to http://www.navelfluff.org/2008/01/25...nger-cleaning/ also appreciated. br, ~llaurén |

But in Outlook the contacts still show in the Contacts folder of your
Hotmail account? In that case, copy your contacts to a Contacts folder in your Personal Folders (pst-file) folder set or create one. This will be your backup so make sure they are indeed all properly copied. Now remove the Hotmail account, restart Outlook and then add it again. Your Hotmail account should now resync properly again with Outlook. Obviously your Contacts folder will be empty now but you can copy them back from the backup your created. As the Outlook Connector is a 2-way sync, your contacts should be back in your Hotmail account as well. -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more http://www.msoutlook.info/ Real World Questions, Real World Answers ----- "Robin Lauren" wrote in message ...
