Hi,
I don't know if this question belongs here. Mods feel free to move it to the correct sub forums. I am working on my outlook addin's installation project. and I want to create my COM shim so that I can isolate my add-in. I downloaded Com Shim Wizard Version 2.3.1 and try to install it. during installation, a error message will pop up. with something like "object reference not set...". the installation still finished and the add/remove program under Control Panel, COM Shim Wizard is there too. However in my VS 2008, I can't find the com shim project under C++. Uninstalling Com Shim Wizard will give me the exact same error. I can't find anything online, except someone in the following thread seems having the same problem. but never got a answer for this. http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/For...-c15669f9fdf2/ Any Idea? thanks. |

I'm not sure about this problem, you might want to post your question on
Andrew Whitechapel's blog about the COM Shim Wizard 2.3.1 at http://blogs.msdn.com/andreww/archiv...d-2-3-1-0.aspx. Andrew wrote the shim wizard with Misha Shneerson, so if anyone would know about your problem he would. Just make sure to post the actual error or error number you get when installing if there's any additional information beyond what you posted here. -- Ken Slovak [MVP - Outlook] http://www.slovaktech.com Author: Professional Programming Outlook 2007.
