I have installed the sms link for moble text messaging. if I know the phone
number and add it as an email address, it works fine. However, something has happened so that even though I see a mobile contacts address book, when I select it, outlook crashes. if i do a new, text message that outlook book also crashes. says outlook has stopped working. I have looked for how to uninstall the sms link and start over but I hve not seen anything on that. anyone else running into this problem? any fixes? this is a great tool but I dont remember everyones phone numbers..... -- KenGodwin |

Try this...
Control Panel - Mail - Show Profiles - Select your profile- Select Properties - Select Data Files - click on tab "Address Books"... look for "Contacts (Mobile)" if there, select it and click remove and then close and OK all the way back out - restart Outlook and the address book entry Contact (Mobile) should be gone from the Address Book drop down list and Outlook no longer crashes when using SMS service "Text Messaging" and selecting the "To..." or "Address Book". Worked for me, hope it works for you. "keng" wrote: I have installed the sms link for moble text messaging. if I know the phone number and add it as an email address, it works fine. I have the same exact problem.
I believe it started with Office 2k7 SP2, not sure though in any case, extremely annoying (in the range of 50 crashes a day) and unbelieveable that this hasn't been fixed yet.
