What version of outlook?
That's weird. There is nothing to edit - you just need to remove the ' from in front of the format you want to use and run it - it sets the file as field to that format for each contact. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. I ran the script and wound up with No names at all in "File as", Just blanks need a bit of help with what to edit in the script. any way to fix this? "Marathon" wrote in message ... I see that yes, but how do I reset old ones that already exist? "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote in message ... The code sample at http://www.slipstick.com/contacts/file-as.htm sets the fileas. This uses Outlook's default fileas types so you don't need to test for the presence of a company name - if there isn't a company name it uses Last, First only. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. Is there a way to recreate this en mass if a company exists and do nothing of none exists etc? EX John Doe. XYX, INC File as: John Doe (XYX, Inc.) TIA! |
