All of a sudden, the format changed on the calendar items we received. We are
using Outlook 2007. Instead of being received in an "accept" format and automatically put into our calendar, we receive the calendar items in this format: BEGIN:VCALENDAR METHOD:REPLY PRODID:Microsoft CDO for Microsoft Exchange VERSION:2.0 BEGIN:VTIMEZONE TZID ![]() BEGIN:STANDARD DTSTART:16010101T020000 TZOFFSETFROM:-0400 TZOFFSETTO:-0500 RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;WKST=MO;INTERVAL=1;BYMONTH=11;BY DAY=1SU END:STANDARD BEGIN ![]() DTSTART:16010101T020000 TZOFFSETFROM:-0500 TZOFFSETTO:-0400 RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;WKST=MO;INTERVAL=1;BYMONTH=3;BYD AY=2SU END ![]() END:VTIMEZONE BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTAMP:20100517T005618Z DTSTART;TZID="(GMT-05.00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)":20100520T150000 SUMMARY:Accepted: Brett SOL prep Last minute questions for Math UID:040000008200E00074C5B7101A82E00800000000A05C54 9E07D8CA01000000000000000 010000000C59C1B5C56BC0A42827B0C9142CD35EF ATTENDEE;ROLE=REQ-PARTICIPANT;PARTSTAT=ACCEPTED;RSVP=TRUE;CN="Susan Smith": LOCATION: w/ Mrs. Gorrell DTEND;TZID="(GMT-05.00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)":20100520T160000 SEQUENCE:0 PRIORITY:5 COMMENT:\N CLASS: CREATED:20100517T005720Z LAST-MODIFIED:20100517T121832Z STATUS:CONFIRMED TRANSP:OPAQUE X-MICROSOFT-CDO-BUSYSTATUS:BUSY X-MICROSOFT-CDO-INSTTYPE:0 X-MICROSOFT-CDO-REPLYTIME:20100517T121832Z X-MICROSOFT-CDO-INTENDEDSTATUS:BUSY X-MICROSOFT-CDO-ALLDAYEVENT:FALSE X-MICROSOFT-CDO-IMPORTANCE:1 X-MICROSOFT-CDO-OWNERAPPTID:147408858 BEGIN:VALARM ACTION ![]() DESCRIPTION:REMINDER TRIGGER;RELATED=START:-PT00H15M00S END:VALARM END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR Help Please? |

The most frequent cause is an antivirus scanner integrated into Outlook. If you can, uninstall your AV program and reinstall it without the mail scanning feature. If you can't, start Outlook in safe mode (hold Ctrl when starting it) and have the sender of the vCard try resending it to see what happens. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
